The West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP: www.waccbip.org), University of Ghana is seeking to recruit an early career (1-3 years post-PhD) postdoctoral fellow to work on the Wellcome Trust funded project titled ‘West Africa, West Indies, West London: Mechanisms driving heterogeneity in immunity to SARS-CoV-2 variants’.
The WWW Consortium brings together three prospective cohort studies of healthy adults in receipt of COVID-19 vaccination in West Africa, the West Indies, and West London to answer fundamental questions in the immunology of SARS-CoV-2 variants. The suitable candidate must be able to work with high intensity and be comfortable working with an international and multidisciplinary team of investigators.
Requirements
- To apply for this fellowship, you must:
- Be an innovative, creative and enthusiastic African scientist.
- Have completed a PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell biology, Immunology or
related field. - Have a strong background in virology and immunology.
- Have excellent scientific writing and presentation skills.
- Work with minimal supervision and have a high standard for research ethics
