Sika Menka is the Grants Manager at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), University of Ghana. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana and a master’s degree in Molecular Science from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany.
She also has a Certificate in the Practice of Research Administration and Management from the Society of Research Administration International and over six (6) years’ experience in managing major capacity building and research projects. She is primarily responsible for providing high-level administrative support for the pre-and post-award management of grants from planning to implementation, reporting, monitoring & evaluation, through to grant closure, while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and donor regulations. She also assists with the coordination of workshops, conferences and project meetings, recruitment of fellows, and management of individual trainee fellowships.
